This week
was tough, I'm still trying to understand all the settings and when to
adjust what. One really nice thing that I discovered about my camera and
software, FinePixViewer, is that it captures my camera settings and displays
them in the image browser. This was really nice and helped a lot when
it came to learning about shutter speed and aperture because I could see
the settings that the camera determined when I had it set on auto.

Hard
to believe that these two shots were taken in the same minute. I
wouldn't say that either are good, but it does show the different
settings.

| I
pulled my tripod out this week. I had only used it with my camcorder,
so I was excited to try it out with my digital. My boyfriend plays
baseball and I am the unofficial team photographer. He was very excited
when he saw the tripod and just knew I could get great shots of his
team. LOL, every time I get a new toy, he figures out a way that I
can use it for baseball. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take more
than one shot of each subject. |

Alex
is the closer for the team. He's really awesome. I took some really
great shots of him (he's very tall an lanky and made a great subject--human
pretzel). I was really happy with the fact that my camera caught
the ball in mid air.

| I'm
going to the San Francisco Forty Niners game this Sunday. I'm going
to bring the tripod and the camera with me and I hope to get some
cool shots. Any tips on sports photography that you could provide
me with would be very appreciated by me and my boyfriend. :) |
