This is a resource site for the students in the Web Page Design and Computer Applications classes at the Contra Costa ROP in Pleasant Hill. This site is a supplement to our classroom web site is at http://pclab.cccoe.k12.ca.us. The class web site contains all of the assignment sheets and course requirements.
3/10/05 - I have decided to start to move the web picks and software picks to a blog format. In the future, you will find my "dailies" at http://www.robinsblog.com. I hope to eventually move the old "dailies" to the new site as well. This site will remain for tutorials and other resources.
The site contains web development and computer tips, a variety of tutorials, freeware and shareware links, lecture notes, and links to other web sites that are related to web development and computer applications. The site is usually updated several times per week.
If you don't know where to begin, check out the helpful web sites page, this page is updated several times per week with new web development related sites.
New tutorials are added on a regular basis. The tutorials are written for the beggining web developer and contain step-by-step instructions. Currently there are tutorials for Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop, XHTML, WS_FTP, Google, Firefox, WordPress, and Outlook. There are also tips for installing fonts, proofreading and debugging HTML and JavaScript, digital photography, system maintenance, file associations, copyright, and virus protection.
The archives page acts as a site map. It contains short descriptions of the content on all of the pages on the site. The search box at the top of each page can also be used to find a specific topic on the site.
We also have a class recipe site at http://www.tinkertech.net/recipes/. Students can forward recipes to me for inclusion on the recipe site or leave a comment containing the recipe on the site.
